“I can’t say enough good things about Camp Berner. I’ve been bringing my 5 year old Bernese Mountain Dog, Gus, here since he was a puppy and it’s truly the only place I trust to watch him. Gus is a sweet boy, but he’s a lot. He tries to eat everything, so leaving him anywhere used to give me major anxiety. Dave and Becca are incredibly attentive and understanding of his quirks. They’ve always gone above and beyond to make sure he’s safe, exercised, and comfortable. Every time I pick Gus up, he’s happy, healthy, and totally exhausted from his mountain adventures. It’s clear how much he loves it there. The peace of mind I get knowing he’s in such capable, loving hands is priceless. I’m so grateful we found Camp Berner—it’s a second home for Gus.”

“As a new resident to Nederland, I began the daunting task of having to find a new dog sitter for my Lab up here in the mountains. We had used the same guy in Boulder for the last few years, and my dog and I were definitely going to miss him. Fortunately, I came across Camp Berner and can honestly say that Dave and his wife exceeded our expectations! Our first stay was somewhat long, over a week, and I was a bit hesitant as to how my dog would acclimate. Dave was great about sending daily updates (with pictures) of all the fun my dog was having! Camp Berner is an amazing set up designed for dogs to feel right at home - not in a traditional kennel. I can say without hesitation that we'll be back for sure and strongly recommend Camp Berner for anyone looking for boarding in the area. We're so fortunate to have Camp Berner in our backyard!”

He forwarded pictures of my dog playing, walking and sleeping. He made me feel very comfortable with leaving a family member to his watch. “I can’t recommend Camp Berner highly enough. Dave’s set up at his home and his love for dogs (particularly Berners) makes Camp Berner a dream for both dogs and their humans. I truly felt like while I was on vacation, so were my dogs. They joined in as part of his family. He sent me regular updates and photos. I can’t imagine a better person for my dogs to spend their time with when I am away. They came home tired and so very happy. I look forward to sending them back to camp next time I am out of town. “So grateful to have found Dave and Camp Berner! He watched our two boys: an anxious to strangers 3 year old, and a rambunctious puppy and he was attentive and patient with both. Great communication and multiple photos daily of our smiling pups walking in the mountains. You’ll feel comfortable leaving your dogs knowing they’re cared for like his own - so glad to have a safe and fun place for our pups to play, we came home to happy and tired pups!”

“We left our two dogs, Chili (our black lab) and Beatriz (our terrier mix), at Camp Berner for a week while we were on vacation, and we couldn’t have been happier with the experience! The owner was incredibly responsible and clearly cares deeply about the dogs — we received regular photo updates, which was such a nice touch and helped us feel at ease while we were away. The space itself is fantastic — clean, spacious, and perfect for dogs to play and socialize safely. Both of our dogs had an amazing time playing with the other pups and came home happy and tired. It’s clear that Camp Berner is run with love and professionalism. Highly recommend to anyone looking for a trustworthy, fun, and well-run dog daycare or boarding spot.
